I'm just getting started with these methods and got this repo from Mary Beth. I need Matlab 2011b to support some old analysis code we're running.

What versions would you recommend for this code?

While I'm here - are y'all open to documentation pull requests? The above strikes me as a useful thing to have in the README! I'm happy to document the answer to this and also #1... Are there other docs on the web somewhere?
