[Nov 20 pub] Top 100 tasks
@patlaj See draft here: https://github.com/canada-ca/canada-ca.github.io/blob/master/_drafts/2017-08-25-top-100-for-gc.markdown
I've pared this down quite a bit, could you review @pcwsmith ?
Note that I have a (non-functional) link to the list, which isn't public. I'll look to create a copy here I think but we should discuss that. I don't really want to include anything but Task, Institution(s), and start page URL so there isn't such an emphasis on the visits.
will start reviewing now!
^ ha ha famous last words... didnt get to it! So @Borges-Porteous I assigned you since you mentioned you'd take a crack at this one!
Yes, I've taken a look through it so now it's back with @patlaj
cool - this looks like it's on it's way. yay team!
While this is being translated, we need to put a visual for this post together. @patlaj @ericcoops @Borges-Porteous @lisafast - ideas? maybe add a bar graph of the list?
How about a long neck chart a la Gerry?

Ya the long neck chart would work, though I personally prefer the pie chart. Grabbed these from Gerry's masterclass deck
We could piechartize the current top 100 list pretty easily... Although I'd label it a little differently
100 tasks - XXX million visits
quadrant labels on the chart would have to be different also, b/c the bottom reaches of the top 100 are still far from being small or tiny tasks, in the overall GC sense.
Pie chart might work better - if it actually pies up - you have to do the quadrant equation yourself (I’m sure there is Excel wizardry Steve could do here)

Ya I like that idea - I’ll see what I can do with it...

Pie chart would definitely work better – showing the long neck as the top tasks might reflect poorly on us,
Note I've moved this out of "In translation" since the French version is ready. We do still need a visual before go-live though.
Here's the preview:
Hm, I was trying to put a caption to the right so it'd kind of look like the one from the screenshot, but the blog seems to strip out my HTML. @jmealing can you take a look if you get a chance? I assume that's some kind of jekyll auto formatting thing going on.

Would be nice to add captions the way Gerry does - this puts the onus on the reader to figure out which colors match with which tasks. Like the one in this article:
this one is ready to go, now aiming for Nov 20 publish date
