Review connectors' name letter case.
The DevEx team sent a review request to keep the product consistent. Based on their suggestion, I listed all the connectors that need letter case updates.
As a rule, in the middle of a sentence:
- Brand names should be capitalized
- Connector always capitalized.
- Inbound/outbound should be lowercase.
- Element types should be lowercase
for example:
GitHub Webhook Intermediate Catch Event Connectorshould beGitHub webhook intermediate catch event Connector
List of connectors that require change:
- MongoDB inbound Connector
- File Watch inbound Connector
- Email inbound Connector
- Postgres inbound Connector
- NATS inbound Connector
- REST API polling
Outbound Connectors - need to be lowercase: "outbound"
Start events:
1st word/brand name stays capitalized, Connector stays capitalized, all the rest need to be lowercase - follow this example:
GitHub Webhook Intermediate Catch Event Connector should be GitHub webhook intermediate catch event Connector
Intermediate event:
1st word/brand name stays capitalized, Connector stays capitalized, all the rest need to be lowercase - follow this example:
GitHub Webhook Intermediate Catch Event Connector should be GitHub webhook intermediate catch event Connector
Before doing so @YanaSegal are we sure its consistent? Here are some examples for element names from the WebModeler:
@sbuettner thanks for raising that. @christinaausley, can you please review this ticket and see if we are going in the right direction? Thank you.
Hello! The Modeler team is handling adjusting these UI references, so lowercase "start event" and "intermediate catch event", etc, is how it should be written.
@YanaSegal Please re-open if this still an issue.
Hi, yes, it is still an issue - you just need to prioritize it.
This is similar to https://github.com/camunda/developer-experience/issues/393 -- @mesellings @YanaSegal can we hop on a call to discuss this?
