Keyboard navigation not working in relation to accessibility

Open DIANAAJAMBO opened this issue 3 months ago • 0 comments

Describe the bug The bug prevents keyboard navigation on all pages of the caMicroscope application. When attempting to navigate using the tab key, input elements such as fields, checkboxes, buttons, or links do not receive input focus. This issue impacts users who rely on keyboard navigation, such as those with paralysis, as they are unable to move the focus between elements on the page.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to any page within the caMicroscope application, preferably slides.
  2. Let go of the mouse.
  3. Use the tab key to attempt to navigate through the page
  4. Notice that there is no movement from the current focused item to the next focusable item.

Expected behavior The expected behavior is that users should be able to navigate through all pages of the caMicroscope application using only the keyboard. When the tab key is pressed, the focus should move sequentially between interactive elements on the page, such as fields, checkboxes, buttons, and links. This functionality is crucial for users who rely on keyboard navigation for accessibility reasons.
