Squirt breaks the page in newest stable Firefox 31

After closing the Squirt window, text can no longer be selected - an invisible Squirt layer remains covering the orignal document.

I am also experiencing this bug, in Firefox 35. It also prevents the clicking of links. Interestingly, it only prevents mouse clicks - keyboard commands still work fine.
