Missing Old Hungarian layout

Open viktorkiwikovacs opened this issue 3 years ago • 4 comments

Is it possible, to adopt xkeyboard-config's Old Hungarian keyboard layout or keyman.com project's Old Hungarian layout? These layouts 99% compatible. Noto-fonts' Old Hungarian font under the development.

Hi! Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm busy with other projects for at least the end of the year.

If anyone can create a pull request with a tested version of these layouts, I'll happily include it.

The Old Hungarian layout was already developed, just this issue was not closed.

@calin-darie @rovasiras The Old Hungarian layout is given in keyman.com project, not in this project.

https://github.com/keymanapp/keyboards/tree/master/release/o/old_hungarian/source/welcome

Lig means ZWJ key JB means unicode 200F key BJ means unicode 200E key.

The original layout is in the gitlab.freedesktop.org's xkeyboard-layout project. (In symbols/hu file) Authors are András Tisza (c) 2013 and Viktor Kovács (c) 2017, 2018 and 2020 The layout is under MIT license.

@calin-darie @viktorkiwikovacs I'll try it, it seems it is not so difficult
