Override slots and SEATS

Open outerpreneur opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Is your proposal related to a problem?

The override only allows you to change available hours (slots) but it doesn't allow you to change available seats within those hours

Describe the solution you'd like

I would like to set availability / block specific seats within a specific time frame

When I go to overrides, have the possibility to block hours and seats.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Create fake bookings for each seat which is far away from ideal

Creating fake bookings is very tedious, as we manage 3 locations, 6 days a week, with 7 hours(slots), and 18 seats combined in the three locations. This would also create confusion and pollute our marketing stats.

Also exploring the idea of adding rooms as people, and using the round-robin event type.

Additional context

sharing scenarios:

Location A: 4 rooms (Running 6 slots a day/ 6 days out of the week) Location B: 6 rooms (Running 7 slots a day/ 6 days out of the week) Location C: 8 Rooms (Running 7 slots a day/ 6 days out of the week)

  • Scenario A: Two fitting rooms available from 10:00-12:45 and from 13:45 to 17:00.
  • Scenario B: One fitting room available from 11:00-12:45 and from 13:45 to 16:00.
  • Scenario C: One fitting room remains closed throughout.

We can only block the entire day or block hours, but not rooms.

The current workaround:

  • For Scenario A, we'd need 12 fake bookings in Rotterdam, 20 in Amsterdam, and 30 in Utrecht.
  • Scenario B or C the situation is worse.
