Ability to add booking from app environment + not pre-fill email and name
Is your proposal related to a problem?
This is a clarification of #10794 where I asked for the ability to manually add a booking when you already have agreed on a date and time with your attendee (who is outside of your team). Technically, this is possible as @milospuac explained to me in a call.
However: the UI is not intuitive (to me) for this functionality as your booking link (like cal.com/thomasmol) pre-fills my name and email in the form, because I am logged in. Meaning I will book myself as organizer and guest if I don't replace the name and fill in the name of the other attendee.
When the name and email is pre-filled I assumed the booking would understand I am booking for myself, then I'd would add guests, but actually it has added me twice, one as organizer and one as guest (and the other guest i filled in as "guest" on the booking page).
So adding manual booking yourself with someone outside from your team is a bit unintuitive because:
- It pre-fills my name and email because I am logged in. Which makes sense if I am booking with someone else's link but not when I want to book with my own link
- The form input says "your name" implying I have to fill in my own name, but for this use case I need to fill in my attendees name
Describe the solution you'd like
- Either your personal booking page should recognize that I am on my own booking page and logged in and therefore not pre-fill my name and email (as this would create a booking with myself as organizer and guest).
- Or UI in the app environment where I can add a booking from there, with an "add booking button" like so:
- This button could either just open my cal.com link and not pre-fill my info
- or show a modal/dialog where i can create the booking inside the app environment.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Ignore the pre-filled data and replace it with the attendee

+1 on this feature!
any updates on this??

Today I couldn't believe that I had to use another program to send an invite to a client for a manual meeting.
I'd also like to have a different availability (open) so if I'm booking I can book separate to my availability. I have spoken to my client agreed to a time so I should be able to book at any time I choose.
+1 - would really like to have this as a feature.

@Praashh Hi, removing the needs approval tag means you are not going to address this issue ?
I would love to see this feature!
