Combine Top Stats Steady Broken

Open Nocturnal42 opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

Take a look at the top matches for SpinelessOne SpinelessTwo and Keith, Then take a look at the difference between Mork and Kevin. The only difference between them is that Monk has max damage stat. Breeding to Kevin is a worse option for top stats by any metric. Breeding to Kevin adds no top stats not already in the mix with Mork.

Hi, the pairings with these three females are not rated very high anyway, with no available partner they can have an offspring that would be beneficial to the goal of combining all top stats together (ignoring possible mutations). The selected algorithm downgrades the score if the best possible offspring is not better than the creatures you already have to save you time and resources. In this case it seems strange, because after downgrading the pairings with Mork so much, the pairing with Kevin is considered the best choice. The issue seems to be that the pairing with Kevin should also be downgraded in the same way, so Mork is again the best partner. Maybe the algorithm should be changed in a way that it only suggests pairings that are helpful to get to the top creature, i.e. in your case only pairings with Mork. I'm not sure if that would also hide pairings that would be beneficial in a way. I need to test that more. Thanks for the report!
