Ability to override the duration of the video

We have free preview feature in our site but the problem is that the videos that we capture are full length. We don't have cut/short versions of it. With this, we would like to have a feature to be able to override the duration of the videos, e.g. from 1min full length video to 10sec without affecting the full length.
