TODO: Improve reporting and handling of TCP errors

TCP connection management in cabin is still very basic; connection errors are logged but not displayed in the UI and no reconnection attempts are made.

A great first step would be to alert the user to the disconnection. This could be as simple as a message printed to the top-bar of the UI.
