Stuttering on Second Display

Open grabvba opened this issue 8 years ago • 3 comments

Just installed the package on Windows 10 (great job team!) and it works flawlessly on the main display, the second display jitters quite badly.

There is a hardware difference, main display (non-jittering) is a g-sync 165hz display connected to the video card via displayport, the other display is connected via DVI-D (jittering). Both displays are the same resolution however.

Any ideas?

@grabvba Try turning off gsync for the screensaver. That's worked for other people. Let us know how you get on.

G-Sync isn't a feature on the second display, it is a generic 1440p IPS panel. The display where the screensaver doesn't jitter works fine even with G-Sync enabled.

I did implement your suggestion however, no change.

I have pretty much the same setup as you and I am experiencing the same problem. I found out that setting the "main monitor" to the lower hz one, makes it smooth on that monitor and jittery on the higher hz one. This leads me to believe that this is some sort of windows allocation of resources error.
