Tuya - Smart Life
Include local support for Tuya - Smart Life devices. There are thousands of affordable brands and devices using this protocol. Many people are looking for a local control option, not to be dependent on internet connection and Chinese servers.
So, looking at the specifications, it seems the protocol to devices is proprietary and would need to be reverse engineered. All the offerings they have are SDKs to help connect to their cloud as a device or a controller and the APIs are not documented.
Hi,
First, thanks for your great software, it really helped me bridge the gaps between HomeGenie, some MQTT devices and Alexa.
Does this help? https://github.com/codetheweb/tuyapi

Thanks, looks like somebody did reverse engineer the protocol. I'll add this as an enhancement.
