Exiting application leaves processes running

Open maxhq opened this issue 5 years ago • 7 comments

After closing the last window via File - Exit there are still processes running:

/opt/Polar Bookshelf/polar-bookshelf
/opt/Polar Bookshelf/polar-bookshelf --type=zygote --no-sandbox
/opt/Polar Bookshelf/polar-bookshelf --type=gpu-process --disable-features=AsyncWheelEvents,GuestViewCrossProcessFrames,SurfaceSynchronization --no-sandbox --gpu-preferences=KA..AA --service-request-channel-token=73..2A

Version: 1.0.0-beta103 Platform: Linux 64 Bit (Debian)

Thanks.. I had thought we had solved this but apparently not. Looks like a renderer process is hanging around.

I got the same on Windows, after closing the app, 5 processes remain running in the background, and PB will only reopen if I terminate all of them first. screenshot-taskmanager

Thanks.. I'm trying to duplicate this and I can't seem to nail it. Sometimes this problem persists and other times it doesn't.

Are there any known workarounds for this? I have this issue still with the current version of Polar (Windows 10). It's consistent - every single time I close PB I have 3 processes still running that I can see in the background and can only reopen Polar after terminating all of them.

If there's any logs or other information I can gather to help with this let me know, I'd really like to see this fixed.

What version of Polar? I suspect you have an OLD version...

Settings -> Device info shows it as Version: 2.0.115
