Describe the bug Annotations are added in completely random order

To Reproduce Add several annotations to see their resulting order

Expected behavior Annotations should be added/displayed in the bar in the order they were added from top to bottom - from oldest to newest. Otherwise I can't figure out where the new annotation is and I have to search for it in a long list of other annotations.
