Error while running examples/gcm.php

When I run examples/gcm.php, I am getting following Error

PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '' (T_NS_SEPARATOR), expecting '{' in /nfs/interns/smitm/Desktop/crypto/php-crypto-master/examples/Crypto.php on line 5

Can anyone show how to fix this?
