Windows Hello disabled even after restoring defaults

Open yolomep opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Restore defaults doesn't restore windows hello biometrics. When I ran restore defaults, the command resulted in an error that seemed like I did not accept some kind of microsoft terms and service. Also, I was running explorerPatcher in the background (without register as a shell extension) if this info is helpful for you.

Sadly, I don't have any detailed evidence of what happened. Though I could probably produce similiar results if I click restore defaults again (if you guys need it).

I'm on version 22H2 OS build 22621.900

Ok I found the problem. This is Windows 11 screwed up my camera drivers and I don't know how to fix it.

Don't know if this will fix windows hello for you but it worked for me. Win(key) + R > Type 'Regedit' > Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Biometrics Set Enabled value to 1
