0. There should be a definition of what the code does.
1. The code should be reviewed for errors.
2. The code should be tested.
3. The code should be rolled out - first tried for a period of time by a limited number of people on all target platforms.

I just installed the extension after a short shock after the FF57 update. Let me know what I can test to help.

I've been using the extension for almost two years now, without any issue (Ubuntu + Firefox). I am sure there are other users with similar experiences.

I recommend you release the software. More users will find more bugs.
