multiple caret positions

i know this is a pretty advanced (nice to have) feature, but i like this a lot in editors that support it: arbitrary caret positions and block selections (see texniccenter for example)

they use ctrl+click for setting multiple cursors and alt+click/drag for block selection.

Would just like to add that sublime text keybindings would be nice. Aka ctrl+d to select occurrences of a word. ctrl + l to select a line ctrl + u to undo previous selection
