Adding fonts (Windows, version 3.3.61

Not sure if I have come to the right place but here goes...

How can I add fonts to CoolReader 3.3.61 in Windows?

With Android or the old Windows/Linux Version 3.0.xx I can create a folder FONTS inside the CoolReader directory, copy fonts into this folder and they become available in the font selection (the same works for hyphenation libraries into folder HYPH), however, this does not seem to work for version 3.3.61. Am I missing something?

And is there any newer version for Windows? 3.3.61 from 2015 is the latest I could find.
