No, not the whole problem, but with the follow-up PR the bits are there for HAL authors to do it if they want to, without their own AtomicWaker.

So, this PR should either be neutral, or size/perf-positive because there's no need to write the Waker back into the Cell. However, the next PR will not be - `take`...
The source mapping issue was likely fixed by https://github.com/probe-rs/probe-rs/pull/3137 - the breakpoints are likely related, but they have other problems, some of that are being addressed currently.

Your breakpoint issue may have been fixed by https://github.com/probe-rs/probe-rs/pull/3137 already
I don't say this one has been fixed, but #479 at least hides the overflowing text.
Smoke testers are expected to fail, they'll be updated once the PR gets a green light
