Use Semantic Versioning

Idea: Use the Semantic versioning schema, so it makes easy for tools to scan the version and make decisions about them.

Tools and software services depent on specific version numbering format is use to decide when to trigger new builds.

The Semantic Version Pattern described in https://semver.org/ is a great de-facto solution crafted by one of the co-founders of Github.

Problems that want to be solved:
