<select> <option> doesn't preserve the selected <option>

On the HTML div I'm capturing the image I have a select / option for a pull down list. when I capture the div, all works as expected except, the pull down defaults to the first entry, no matter which option is selected.

I keep subject open, html-to-image is already working great but it would be awesome if this little change was merged. I can also confirm that selected checkbox/radio are not cloned.

This was a major problem for me. had to switch to html2canvas which works as expected.

I tried to use toCanvas from this lib, unfortunately that doesn't work either.
