What feature do you want?

I found issue #29 which is similar, but with the switch to MD3 I open this issue.

Some MD3 applications offer an boolean "oled" so that the dark theme is a black background #000000 and not a dark grey.

Why do you want this feature?

It's to make the most of my OLED screen and make it turn off the black pixels, instead of leaving them on for a gray.

When I wrote this issue I was on android 11. I upgraded to Android 12 with a Material You background #000 and News inherited it. I don't need this application anymore!
