Update lots of deps, webpack 5, ts 4, etc.

This is what I needed to build for a modern node.js and resolve security issues. Looks like at least a little (the passport thing) is already in production on the server? This does all work, at least when I test using my MongoDB-using fork.

OK, these fixes actually appear to work, at least in my fork where I ported to use the MongoDB driver instead of Azure CosmosDB.
