XAML files use hardcoded styling everywhere

I'm an applications dev and not a graphics designer :)

There's a lot of possible improvements that can be made to the XAML definitions, especially with regards to a common style. Currently, many colors and pixel offsets are hardcoded instead of defining new user control styles.
