External IP Change from TOR to Public IP?

Is there an easy way to change the external IP configured for LND/RTL from the onion address to my real external IP without messing with the custom yml?

would it update if I changed my primary host from my .local address to my web domain (which is currently an additional host)?

if the answer is no, if I edit the lnd.conf yml, do I have to copy all of the settings I see for lnd.conf in RTL or can I just have the externalip= option only in that yml?
