Zonal socio-economic data

Open nikita6187 opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

Hello!

First off, thank you for these brilliant datasets!

I'm currently building various deep learning surrogates for the 4 step model, and am trying to incorporate trip generation. Is there any way we could get zonal socio-economic data (or the data used for trip generation)?

Thank you!

Nikita

Nikita,

You might be interested in checking out our open-source efforts for trip generation and trip distribution steps based on GMNS data format and OSM data sources. https://github.com/asu-trans-ai-lab/grid2demand We use POI records from OSM to obtain the zonal socio-economic data for trip generation.

Dr. Bruce Wu and I also have created a data2demandModel package at https://github.com/asu-trans-ai-lab/Data2DemandModel to demonstrate how the 4-step process can be integrated into the deep learning, more precisely, computational graph framework.

Thanks, (Simon) Xuesong @.) Bruce Wu @.)

Hello Xuesong,

Thank you very much for this info! The packages look very interesting, and your work is fascinating.

I will look into this!

Thanks! Nikita
