unable to locate layout for "taxonomyTerm" error

Hi, i am trying to change the theme to allegiant , but i am getting broken elements as show below.

When I check build process, it gives 'unable to locate layout for "taxonomyTerm"' warning.

I've tried making a new website from the scratch following hugo -quickstart tutorial, but it gives blank page. I've been trying to resolve this , but couldn't find solution. Any idea why this is happening?
