Increase the + button size
To clarify I’d like for the area of the button to be increased as in the picture but not to increase the look of the button just the area that selects the button.
I understand why you're asking for this, but how often is this really a problem? And is the same accommodation required for every other button?
It is a problem for me because when I would be creating long ways, sometimes I would accidentally tap the empty area of the button making me deselect the way and have to go back to select the way. Since I’m constantly pressing the same button I subconsciously start moving my thumb to the left.
This should not be the same with other buttons as it breaks the cycle of selecting the same area and makes the user have to focus and specifically select the other buttons, it hasn’t been a problem.
I spent some time trying several approaches to implement this, but they're all overly complicated because:
- The button can appear on either edge of the screen, depending on the user's preference.
- The button is manually styled, including shape and color, by code that is shared by all the other buttons on screen, and that code doesn't understand we want the button to be a rectangle but needs to look circular.
