Quick addressing mode
Special mode for entering house numbers similar to OsmPad.
Tap to create a building node and automatically pop up address keyboard., or select an existing building to pop up keyboard
I want to +1 this idea and think it forward:
IMO this feature should create nodes of the preset-type "address". This is the fastest and easiest way. Merging those nodes with houses can be done later in JOSM and such.
Also, address-nodes are often the only way one can add the information in a fast way, since some countries use a house number as an apartment number, others have multiple per house, others have the number on the street but the house cannot be seen … and so on.

in support of this, some countries (e.g. Italy) issue housenumbers to all entrances to a building or site, even potential entrances like shop windows.
It would be great if there was a kind of “quicklook” to the map from tag view (like as long as you hold the quicklook button you see the map view to see the street name, but releasing the button would return to tag view, so you could avoid the workaround: confirm uncomplete tagging go back to map, then re-edit tags). Or let the user choose from closeby road names for addr:street.
