The testd3d and winhandler applications bundled with this program are detected by many antivirus vendors. The Floxif detection is likely specifically the TestD3D utility.

It can be also false positives, I get some from time to time, I'll make a VM and see how it behaves, most of the time, if it's malicious, it'll just crash and won't open, I'm not an expert on the subject but that might be a way to identify if it's really malware or a false positive

I'm not saying that he should discontinue it, nor that it has malware embedded into it, but if there's a concern, we should actually test the code or embedded application, and check if it's a possibility, if it is, dev needs to address it and solve, if not, that's actually great news and we should move on.

Picking a side without any proof of anything done isn't good, that's why I'm not picking a side, and instead I'm trying to help as best as I can on issues that people have, and if you also like the Dev's job on this emulator, you should do the same instead of doing like others are doing, spamming useless stuff, this is for posting issues and getting/offering help, not for picking sides on something that still wasn't proven

im not trying to accuse, but PoPiPo, an app crashing on start is not a good way to test if software is malicious. Any other app could be infected and still work, and when i looked up floxif it tells me that it is a known virus that replaces and changes important files with infected ones. “ https://www.malwarebytes.com/blog/detections/virus-floxif” and “ https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/threats/threat-search?query=virus:win32/flox”

What likely happened is that bruno got infected with floxif, and the files he copied to the winlator app were infected.
