customize text in header navigation links

Hi, Thanks for the wonderful software! I am using --splitat=chapter, and my chapter names are quite long. Is there a way to customize the text that appears in the navigation links of the page header, to not include the title? For example, they might say just "Chapter 2" instead of "Chapter 2 A particularly long-titled chapter whose navigation link extends all the way to the edge of the page". (Note however that I want the chapter titles to remain as they are in the actual table of contents that appears on my top level page). Thanks in advance!

From your question, I'm guessing that you've already figured out that the table-of-contents title ("toctitle" in LaTeXML-speak) is what's used for the navigation links. But to have a 3rd form.... Hmmm, tricky.
