Call for maintainers
If you have experience maintaining open-source projects, or would like to gain that experience, add a comment. Happy to add new maintainers to history.js
I would love to gain some experience! 😇
I'd be happy to contribute to the project. I use HistoryJS in a very large project on a daily basis. I've already posted a fix to #47 but I'd be happy to push more up as they come.
I do have a robust testing environment for IE8+, from a combination of VMs to different physical machines/devices.
It's been a week so shall we kick this off now? The Slack group sounds like a good idea.
Alright invitations to the browserstate github organisation have been sent to each of you.
Let's discuss how the workflow and permissions should work. Currently, you all have read access, this will give you all the ability to work together organising and closing Github issues, as well as sending pull requests for owner review. Ideally, one or more of you will become owners of the project, and set the direction, and review and merge the pull requests.
I've kicked off a historyjs
channel on the slack at https://slack.bevry.me so let's catch up there.
@dherran seems you are in a good place to take ownership of the project, would you agree? @EminezArtus and @nevace what are your experiences with History.js? Would you say you are in good places to take ownership, or would you prefer to assist @dherran? Happy for multiple owners.
The most important thing I guess now, is establishing a roadmap, and who will take charge of that roadmap and the items inside it. I'm inclined to setup a trello board for this, that we can all collaborate on, to establish and further the roadmap together.
I personly would like to moderate but not have ownership although that is tempting I would like to contribute and keep the project clean for a better workflow.
Something like that :)
Again, I would like ownership but feel @dherran is in the best place for this. I've only used History.js on a couple of projects and have no experience managing an open source project of this size. I'm happy to get involved in a trello board and take on tasks.
Even though I don't have the experience managing an open source project of this magnitude, I'd be happy to take ownership as long as the current owners give me a rundown of the project rules and the way they would like this project to run from now on ;)
Lets discuss the roadmap, setup that Trello board and take it from there. I've already joined Slack if we want to catch up during the week.
@EminezArtus doesn't seem you are on the slack yet?
@nevace @dherran I've started the conversation on slack, will be more active from today.
I would be happy to be able to contribute to history.js and help with its maintenance.
@balupton I would like to help you here. I have been in the IRC room for a few days as well but I am alone :-)
