Feature request: Implement Conkeror-like hinting style which highlights the hinted elements

It would be amazing if there would be an option to have link hintings like those by default in Conkeror. The right side is Conkeror while the left side is Nyxt which has similar link hints like Surfingkeys.

Is it possible to implement this in the current architecture? Adding a custom class on the elements would also allow user-customization.

It would be interesting to have some developer’s thinking on this. It could make me switch to Firefox as my preferred browser.
