Chrome Flags page gets stuck

Describe the bug

When the chrome://flags page is opened, the browser freezes including the page and the entire browser UI altogether.

Maybe this bug also affects some heavy websites, with a lot of content.

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Go to Chrome://flags
  2. Try to scroll or interact with the page

Expected behavior

The page should function smoothly

I've also noticed this issue on older versions of Android and on other devices too.

Don't really think it's only a problem with older versions/devices. I have the same issue on all my new devices running Android 11/12. The about:flags view is just really buggy and crashes the app after a few seconds whenever using the search bar or changing a setting.

I have seen the same behavior in a Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 v11.0 (gpu Adreno QUALCOMM) on browserstack. i don't know anything about gpu in chromium, but i fear that it is due to something related to gpu. @csagan5 do you know anything in particular to check?

A similar issue was debugged in the past; there was useful information in the logs, which are not included in this issue, so troubleshooting cannot proceed if issue is not reproducible.
