Support bidirectional reading

I would be very interested in bidi or more specifically working with source materials which use vertical layout.

This is really helpful, since I'd not thought of vertical layout, and we might as well deal with all cases possible at once in this issue. I've renamed this issue to include 'vertical' layout. @duncdrum would you have images and kraken / tesseract classifier that we could to make test packages?

@brobertson i m involved with a project that will be able to provide them, I ll have to inquire about a timeframe though.

Thanks. Well, we can either work with the Arabic text people first and then use what we learn there to add this functionality or do it all at once.
