Brew tap for [email protected] appears to be broken

I have noticed some connectivity issues for the python cromshell environment with some cromsehll servers that otherwise work on the older cromshell... however i have noticed that I can no longer install the legacy cromshell threw brew:

brew install [email protected]

Error: [email protected]: /usr/local/Homebrew/Library/Taps/broadinstitute/homebrew-dsp/Formula/[email protected]:1: `@0' is not allowed as an instance variable name
