[Classic] Unable to toggle pet skills auto-cast on/off for enslaved demons

Open goudekid opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

When I enslave the demons in DME for the common lock farm, right clicking their abilities does not change the auto-cast state, leading to me being unable to turn off auto-cast on fireball and rain of fire and subsequently getting me killed...

I have no way to test this as I don't play classic. Can you replicate this in retail? On my hunter in retail I have no issue toggling on and off auto-cast

Seems to only affect enslaved demons, do you have a warlock? I do not play retail.

Additional info; if an enslaved demon shares a skill with your class (rain of fire in this case) then neuron will default to trying to use the pet skill when you cast from the neuron macro on your own bar rather than try to cast from your own ability

Edit: workaround for this is to specify spell rank in the macro as enslaved pets do not have spell ranks

Hrm. No I don't have a warlock. This is going to be fun to figure out lol

I have confirmed this behavior for warlocks as well as newly tamed hunter pets for classic and retail, also it seems for the shaman talented elementals in retail.   For hunter pets if you clear the pet bars and drag the spells onto them it seems to work.  Going to retest again to see if there is any other conditions to remedy. for Warlock, if you control the enslaved pet for the entire duration, the right-click activation toggle seems to eventually work.  Will try to see if it is a specific/consistent amount of time.
