Very Slow When Scrolling Through Feeds

When scrolling through a day of messages/ news (~100+) (mostly shortend feeds, a few complete feeds) Brief is very unresponsive and slow. When observing CPU usage of Firefox process, it is increasing up to 50%.

I know, my E8400 is not the newest CPU, but usually Firefox is running fine on my machine.

Confirmed to have same issue on my system. I have a 3.6Ghz Ivy Bridge.
