Plugin still leaving containers running (plugin version 1.0.76)

As noted in comments of: https://github.com/bridgecrewio/checkov-vscode/issues/72 (which has been closed)...

containers left around are: bridgecrew/checkov:2.0.1037

This has been also reported and fixed back in 2021 via issue #41 . The problem remains. Has anyone found any possible workaround?
