Can we include different sample sizes for each isotope in the source file?

Hello!

My question: Can we code in different sample sizes (n) for different isotopes in the source file (e.g., d13C and d15N)? My example: I collated raw data from the literature into six regions (which are my sources) but some studies only had d13C or d15N, and therefore, my sample sizes are different for d13C and d15N in each region. I read that we can't include NAs in the source 'raw' version, hence my wondering if we can define different 'n' values for each isotope?
