Hmm, just to clarify, which one is happening for you?

  • Does Windows give a warning when you click on the download link?
  • Or are you able to download the installer, but Windows gives a warning when you try to run it?

Don't know what could be causing this, but I've uploaded the latest version to virustotal, hope this addresses your concerns:

Hi, I am using Opera GX. I have visited https://github.com/briansd9/exile-diary/releases to download binary version. I clicked on https://github.com/briansd9/exile-diary/releases/download/v0.3.0/exile-diary-setup-0.3.0.exe download. After download I can see a message "Blocked: virus detected" and the file didn't appear in Downloads folder.

First time I probably have seen a windows message, the second time it was so quick so I can only describe web browser behavior.

This is still happening.

Regards, S

Probably nothing that can be done from my end to fix this... I think it is a false positive.

If you agree and would like to try running it anyway, you can try these steps: https://www.ghacks.net/2017/11/23/how-to-handle-failed-downloads-virus-detected-issues-on-windows-10/
