Do you know any way to circumvent this error? It doesn't allow opening any file. Any clue to what might cause the problem? I've so far tested this on ubuntu 16.10 and windows 10. Both show this error.

Can you describe your problem in more detail? We are seeing "all" files shown there, but if you select the correct Task file, the experiment runs OK. So it's not a show-stopper bug, rather an inconvenience.

It happens when I enter any file. For example I choose: /home/aboozar/gitOpenDS/openDS-oss/assets/DrivingTasks/Projects/ParisTraffic/parisTraffic.xml It shows the error. And I do think that this is the main file because it points to all the other files in the folder. I tried different scenarios provided from here. I don't know what might have caused the problem.

I am facing a version of this error. Selecting the main file does not give me any errors but in GUI the screen is stuck on "Loading..." and upon running the built jar file from cmd I get this invalid scene file error for all the scene.xml's inside tasks. Also, I am on ubuntu 14.04.
