Stopping 1.x maintenance

Bref 2.0 was released more than a year ago, Bref 1.x has continued receiving updates.

It is time to stop maintaining this older major version. I intend to actually stop releasing new versions in May 2024. 1.7.47 might be the last release, or maybe we'll have another one until then.
