Desktop mode keeps getting disabled

Description:

I use brave mainly on my iphone14 pro to surf social media. For Facebook I prefer requesting desktop website (facebook.com) which is mobile friendly and much better then their mobile website (m.facebook.com) . The problem when I close brave and come back later to the same tab, it disables desktop mode on it own and loads the mobile versions which is so annoying,. Desktop mode should always be enabled for specific tab unless I manually disable it or close the tab.

Please fix it if its a bug, or add an option/setting to have always on desktop mode for specific tab or even globally.

Steps to Reproduce

1. navigate facebook.com (redirects to m.facebook.com)
2. request desktop mode
3. navigate to facebook.com (no redirection/good)
4. close Brave browser (Exit/remove from open apps list)
5. open Brave browser again
6. the same tab disables desktop mode automatically, which then redirects me m.facebook.com (bad)

Expected result: stay always in desktop mode!

Reproduces how often: [Easily reproduced, Intermittent Issue] happens every single damn time

Brave Version: 1.45.2

Device details: iphone 14 pro (ios 16.1.2)

This is the default behavior on Firefox iOS, why can’t you guys implement it?

I use this for linkedin as their desktop render on mobile is better than the mobile. would be great to persist the setting
