Links in the sidebar load pages in new tabs.

Description

The tab that is currently open has the sidebar pages open. The moment I open a new tab, I have to remember to click on it.

Steps to Reproduce

Just clicking on one of the items in the sidebar.

Actual result:

It shows the page requested in the current tab.

Expected result:

I would like the current tab to stay and open a new tab with the requested page. My workflow would be quicker and more efficient if it either (1) opened a new tab by itself or (2) required me to choose between the current tab, new tab, and new window when I right-clicked.

Brave version (brave://version info)

Brave Browser v1.42.88, Chromium 104.1.42.86

• Can you reproduce this issue with the nightly channel? I didn't tried it out.

• Does the issue resolve itself when disabling Brave Shields? Yes
• Does the issue resolve itself when disabling Brave Rewards? Yes
• Is the issue reproducible on the latest version of Chrome? I don't know, I don't use Chrome, Brave is my favorite as it improves my user experience.

Instead of opening a web app from a sidebar into a current or new tab, open it in an overlay:

Otherwise, there is no difference between a sidebar button and a bookmark bar button.
