Won't sink files/folders with the é in Pokémon
The 3DS Checkpoint app automatically names folders based on games. The Pokémon save folder has a "é" and can't be changed. Filling out the ftp_sync yaml with "Pokémon" sends "Pokémon" for the ftp request causing it to fail.

That thread is quite old but I've searched through the changelog and haven't seen anything about updating FTPD to allow non-ascii characters.
I'm unfamiliar with 3DS checkpoint, but maybe there are settings there to edit paths to remove non-ascii characters. If not that should be easier to implement than it would be for the FTPD maintainer to implement UCS-2
