Could it be faster to use this cell in RNN then tensorflow version?

I am investigating how to make training faster with GPU machines, this repo is very interesting, because maybe I can code with it to make a RNN which consumes CUDA resources directly. So, do you have more experiments?

Is there work that builds RNN with CPP and cuda drivers?
