Adding measured power for Nanoleaf Canvas 17PK lights

Open edwardtfn opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

I'm adding the power measurements for a Nanoleaf Canvas Stater Pack with 17 Light Panels.

Note that Home Assistant will only identify the controller as a model "NL29", without knowing the number of panels attached to it. Those measurements are for 17 panels in total (as part of a starter kit with 1 controller and 16 additional panels): https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B085QTPKB8/

I've intentionally named it by the manufacture's product number to prevent Home Assistant to automatically detect it (as HA cannot identify the number of panels, which will affect the power consumption), but the model should be available to setup via YAML.

I can try to measure with smaller number of panels in the future, if there is a demand, however we still have to require users to setup this via YAML.

Thanks for measuring these. However to be added to powercalc this needs to have some more thought / development. Also see https://github.com/bramstroker/homeassistant-powercalc/discussions/702 where this has been discussed a bit.

Could you share your thoughts there?

@edwardtfn did you see my reply two weeks ago on #702?

Yes, I saw that and I'm now trying to measure again as I'm using a new measuring device, so I will replicate in all the different configuration... But I'm a bit stuck on this, so it should take some time still. Why are you asking?BR,Edward @.*** On 2 Oct 2022, at 13:13, Bram Gerritsen @.***> wrote: @edwardtfn did you see my reply two weeks ago on #702?

Was just asking because I was cleaning up the open issues/PR's. No need to hurry..

@edwardtfn Closing this PR as it's stale. Please open a new one when you'd like to resume work on it.
